The Vision Behind Visihelp

Our story began in spring 2022, when we saw that a family member with neurodevelopmental disorders needed a tool that could provide a more predictable and structured everyday life.

We searched high and low for solutions that could help, but we either felt they didn't fit our needs, or that we had to go through a difficult process with the public sector to get the help we needed.

In the absence of alternatives, we decided to create a system exactly the way we wanted it – and exactly the way the person needed it. We wanted it to be possible to receive information on a phone, on a computer screen, on a tablet, on a TV – in short, everywhere it was needed, without a lot of menus, buttons and settings to worry about.

From its humble beginnings as a simple digital weekly plan, it developed into a complete solution that we saw the user had enormous benefit from. Uncertainty, frustration and a low sense of mastery were replaced by independence, lots of sense of accomplishment and a much more satisfied family member.

In spring 2024, we contacted some families and asked if they wanted to be part of the project as pilot users for the system. In summer 2024, the final version of Visihelp saw the light of day for the first time.

But – we will continue to develop Visihelp with one goal in mind: Both the user and those around them should have access to a complete, digital tool to make everyday life better for everyone involved.
